Read this guideThe export packaging specification for tape rolls arriving into Singapore: PSA handling, LCL consolidation, pallets, lot labels and transshipment exposure.
Under an export packaging specification for tape rolls arriving in Singapore, the pack has to survive a short sea leg, a terminal handling or two, and in many cases a cross-dock to a second country, which is why this lane is written as fields rather than as the phrase "export packing". Our Singapore market page states sea freight from Shenzhen at 4–7 days port to port with LCL consolidation available, and air or express at 2–4 days door to door; the window for your order is confirmed at quotation against the destination, since the schedule belongs to the carrier rather than to the supplier.
A short voyage is short enough that heat dwell stops being the main risk and handling becomes it. Cartons moving into a Singapore receiving point are lifted at origin, stacked into a container or a groupage crate, discharged at a PSA terminal or an air-cargo node, collected, and often opened at a distribution centre and re-picked onto site pallets. Each of those events is a compression load and a chance at a crushed shoulder, and the core, the winding direction, the interleave and the count per carton do more for arrival condition than extra board does.
The gateway is PSA Singapore, the container and air-cargo hub named on our market page, serving electronics, medical technology, construction, marine and offshore work, and the regional-headquarters function sitting above several plants. Three things follow for a converted-roll order. Consolidated groupage is routine, so cartons share a container and are handled at a consolidator's terminal rather than straight off a line. Air and express quantities travel on a belt and in a net rather than under a stack, a different load history. And most consignees are not the end users, so the receiving conditions at the second address belong in the document written at the first.
Singapore works as a consolidation and transshipment point for orders whose final destination is elsewhere, and that changes four specification decisions.
Handling count. A consignment that cross-docks is lifted twice as many times as one delivered direct, so the pack is written against two handovers, with edge protection and stack position specified rather than left to the loading pattern of the day.
Label legibility in a mixed container. Where cartons from several orders share a groupage space, markings must read from the side a de-stuffer sees, and the destination reference must appear as prominently as the grade. A label designed for a racking aisle fails in a shared crate.
Differing downstream limits. One purchase order can split into deliveries with different carton weight caps, pallet pools and storage conditions. We agree the pack against the most restrictive receiving site and state the split on the packing list.
Documents per destination. The technical set follows the grade and the destination. Singapore's own regime is low-tariff for most goods, but product-specific requirements attach to medical devices, electrical goods and construction products, and where cartons travel on to a third country those rules belong to the next border. The importer of record confirms the current requirement for each destination; we supply the material documents for the selected grade.
Multi-destination orders are the case for keeping one technical contact across specifications, samples and documentation, which is how this lane is set up on the markets overview.
Packed cartons leave our Shenzhen plant against a booking placed by whichever party the agreed term names, by sea, air or express, with LCL consolidation available for smaller orders. Shipping documents carry the term and named place from the quotation, and the packing list states a carton count, weights and measurements matching what is physically in the container. Alongside them: the lot schedule naming which lots went into which cartons, and the revision number of the pack document the order was packed against with the signed pre-production pack reference. Freight and transit are quoted against your destination port or address, and no figure is stated before the shipment plan is known.
Email yantian0606@gmail.com or WhatsApp 8613554863137 for a pack specification written against those conditions, with a pre-production pack for signature before the run, through our quote request.
Commercial and process terms on this page are the questions a converter has to answer, not a standing offer. Order quantities, lead times, tooling charges, sample terms, freight and payment structures are confirmed at quotation against your drawing, your material and your destination, and only figures already published elsewhere on this site are stated as commitments.
