The problem

Why this application is difficult

Construction sites are less controlled than factories. Surfaces may be dusty, damp or uneven; the tape may sit in sun, rain or heat before the next trade arrives. A product that performs in a laboratory can still fail if the substrate is wrong, the surface is not prepared or the application temperature is outside the adhesive’s range.

Our approach

What we review before proposing a material

Substrate and weather review

We confirm whether the surface is glass, coated metal, concrete, wood or composite, and the exposure to UV, rain, heat and movement.

Joint and movement review

For glazing and panel bonding, we look at the joint design, load, thermal movement and the failure mode the project cannot accept.

Site-ready formats

Wide rolls, slit rolls, pre-cut pieces and die-cut shapes reduce site handling. We confirm the format and liner for the application method.

Clean removal where temporary

For masking and protection, we review dwell time, UV exposure and removal conditions so the tape comes away without damaging the finish.

FAQ

Can tape replace mechanical fixings for glazing?
Tape is used in many glazing and panel applications, but the joint must be engineered. We review substrate, load, movement and weather exposure; structural design and approval remain with the project team.
Which tape is used for HVAC ducts?
Aluminum foil tape with acrylic adhesive is common for duct sealing and insulation facing. The grade depends on temperature, humidity and substrate.
Do you supply wide rolls?
Yes. We can supply wide rolls or slit them to the width your applicator needs, subject to material availability and shipping.
