Ordering & MOQ
What is your minimum order quantity?
We can supply single rolls for evaluation. For custom die-cut parts, MOQ depends on material width, tooling and annual volume; we confirm it at quotation.
Can I order several products in one shipment?
Yes. We can consolidate multiple grades, slit rolls and die-cut parts into one shipment, subject to packing and destination requirements.
Do you supply private-label or OEM packaging?
Yes. We support private-label rolls, printed packaging tape, custom labels and kitting. Artwork, minimum quantity and approval steps are confirmed before production.
What is your MOQ for custom die cut tape?
No standing figure: the number is derived from your drawing, the material width and the cutting route, and it is stated in the quotation. Read the full MOQ answer
What payment terms do you accept for a first order?
The structure — entity, currency, milestone and document set — is agreed per order and written into the proforma invoice before tooling is cut. Read the full payment terms answer
How do I pay?
Payment terms are confirmed at quotation. We typically discuss T/T and other terms based on the order value, destination and whether it is a first order.
Samples & lead time
How fast can I get a sample?
Sample timing depends on material availability and part complexity, so we confirm it in writing once the drawing or the material is agreed.
Do you charge for samples?
Sample and freight charges depend on the material, quantity and destination. We confirm the terms before sending so there is no surprise.
Can you make a prototype before production tooling?
Yes. Laser cutting or low-cost flat-bed tooling can produce prototypes for fit and function testing.
How long does a die cut tape order take?
The clock starts when the material and the drawing are confirmed, because tooling route and material availability set the sequence. We give the sample and production dates in writing at quotation, together with what would change them.
Can I get free samples of double sided tape?
Standard grades can be sampled; what we confirm first is the freight arrangement and the address, and for a custom part the material must be agreed before anything is cut. Tell us the substrate and the test you plan to run.
Can you sign an NDA?
We can review an NDA before drawings are shared. Send the document with the enquiry and we will confirm whether it is acceptable.
Shipping & Incoterms
Which Incoterms do you support?
EXW, FOB Shenzhen, CIF and DDP by agreement. The quotation states the term, destination and what is included.
How long does sea freight take to Southeast Asia?
Published carrier schedules put port-to-port transit at roughly 4–12 days depending on the destination and the port. The schedule we quote you is the one in force at booking, and the quotation states the date against it.
Can you consolidate smaller orders?
Yes. LCL consolidation is available for smaller volumes. We confirm the consolidation point, schedule and destination charges before shipment.
Who handles customs clearance?
The importer is normally the importer of record and handles clearance. We provide the export documents, packing list and commercial invoice needed for the shipment.
Documents & compliance
Which documents can you provide?
For the selected grade we can provide a TDS, MSDS, RoHS / REACH statement and, for converted parts, a first-article inspection report. Other documents depend on the material and market.
Do you have ISO 9001?
Our quality management system was certified to ISO 9001 in 2019. Ask for the current certificate and confirm that its scope covers the product and site relevant to your order.
Can you provide UL recognition?
UL recognition is grade-specific. Tell us the material and application so we can confirm whether the selected grade holds a current UL file.
Do you provide test reports?
We provide the test data available for the selected grade. If you need a specific test to a named standard, tell us at enquiry stage so we can confirm feasibility and cost.
Can you provide RoHS and REACH documents for the grade I order?
Yes, per selected grade. Declarations are issued for the material you actually order rather than as a blanket statement across the range, and we state which document version applies to the delivered batch.
Do you provide a first article report for converted parts?
Yes. A converted part is reported with its dimensions against the drawing, the material and lot supplied, so approval is tied to the piece you validated rather than to the family name.
How do you trace a defective batch?
Rolls and converted parts carry lot identification linked to the incoming material batch, the converting date and the inspection record, so a complaint can be traced to the affected work order without a plant-wide recall.
Technical selection
How do I choose the right tape?
Start with the two substrates, the load, the temperature and humidity, the process and the failure mode you cannot accept. We shortlist two or three options and propose a test plan.
Can tape replace screws or welding?
Sometimes, but the joint must be engineered. We review the load, movement, gap and failure mode before recommending a structural tape, and validation remains with your team.
Do you have low-VOC or low-fogging tapes?
Yes. Low-VOC and low-fogging grades are available. The final choice depends on the substrate, temperature and the OEM test requirement.
How should the surface be prepared?
The surface should be clean, dry and free of oil, dust and release agents. Pressure and dwell time matter; we include the recommended application method with the sample.
Should I buy from a trading company or a factory?
Buy from the converter that owns the slitting and die-cutting lines: you get a process answer instead of a catalogue answer, someone who can review a drawing, and a direct line to the machine when a dimension or a material has to change.
How do I test a tape before committing to it?
Run the peel test on your actual substrate, in your actual cleaning condition, then hold the bonded assembly at elevated temperature and humidity and retest. A same-day peel number on a clean test panel tells you almost nothing about a tropical production line.
Brands & authorization
Are you a tesa distributor?
Yes. tesa tape (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. certifies Shenzhen Xiangyu New Material Co., Ltd. as a Platinum Partner, certificate tesaGC AD000437, valid 2026-04-01 to 2027-03-31, for Industrial Trade and Converting. Scope inside that can still vary by product family, customer type and country, so the grade and destination are confirmed at quotation.
Are you authorized for 3M and Sekisui?
We supply 3M and Sekisui materials through qualified channels, but we do not claim blanket authorization for every line or region. Availability and documents are confirmed at quotation.
Can you compare brands?
Yes. We can propose options from tesa, 3M, Sekisui and qualified alternatives with the available data so you can compare performance and cost.
Can you supply an equivalent to a discontinued grade?
We can propose a replacement based on the construction and performance requirement. Any substitution should be validated on your substrate and process before approval.
