Sustainability
Five practical priorities for reducing waste and improving material traceability — described as operating priorities, not as certified environmental claims.

What we work on
These priorities are part of how we quote and convert. They are not a substitute for a certified environmental management system.
Material efficiency
We slit to the width the customer needs and plan cutting routes to reduce trim waste. Material efficiency is reviewed at quotation, not after production.
Lower-VOC options
Low-VOC and low-fogging adhesive grades are available for interior, automotive and medical applications where the final requirement allows.
Packaging reduction
We review roll format, core, liner and outer packaging with the customer to reduce material where it does not compromise protection.
Process discipline
Tension control, clean edges and first-article checks reduce rework and rejected parts, which is the most direct way to avoid wasted material.
Compliance and traceability
We keep batch and work-order records for converted orders and provide the material documents available for the selected grade.
No green claims without evidence
We do not publish a carbon-neutral claim, a recycled-content figure or an environmental certification unless the specific statement can be supported by current documentation. If your tender requires an environmental declaration, tell us the standard and we will confirm what is available for the material.
Material selection also involves trade-offs. A lower-VOC adhesive may have different performance from the grade it replaces, and a thinner construction may use less material but change the bond line. We prefer to state the trade-off rather than hide it.
Need an environmental document?
Send the material, the standard and the market. We will confirm what the supplier can provide for the selected grade.
Where waste actually occurs in converting
Environmental discussion is easier to act on when it is tied to places a plant can see and measure.
The four items below are where material is lost in a converting operation, and where the effort to reduce it has an effect that can be checked. They are described as operating priorities because they are ours to observe, not as a certified environmental programme.
| Where material is lost | What reduces it | What is measurable |
|---|---|---|
| Trim and edge waste | Nesting of cut parts, width planning against the jumbo rolls in stock, and route selection at DFM review | Off-cut volume per job, reviewed at quotation |
| Rejected parts | Tension control, first-off checks and clean edges during the run | Rework and rejection recorded per work order |
| Cores, liners and interleaf | Returnable or reused cores where the destination allows, format choices agreed with the customer | Packaging per shipped unit against the previous format |
| Outer packaging | Right-sized cartons and pallets, and consolidation instead of separate parcels | Carton and pallet count per order |
What we can answer, and what we cannot yet
| Question from a tender | What we can answer now | What we will not state |
|---|---|---|
| Do you have an environmental management certificate? | Whether a certificate exists for the site, and its scope if it does | Any implication of certification that is not in a current document |
| What recycled content is in this tape? | The construction as supplied and what the material supplier states for it | A recycled-content percentage we cannot source to a document |
| What is the carbon footprint of the order? | The freight options and their emission differences as a comparison of routes | A carbon-neutral claim for a product or a shipment |
| Can the material be recycled after use? | What the construction is made of, and the practical separation problem | A recyclability statement for a bonded assembly |
| Do you take cores and liners back? | Reuse where a return route exists and consolidation is sensible | A take-back programme that is not running |
| Is the adhesive low-VOC? | Which grades are offered as lower-VOC options and what they cost in performance | A blanket low-VOC claim across the catalogue |
