Electronics & EMS
Display, battery, FPC and shielding tapes for consumer electronics and EMS assembly.
Bonding a cover lens, touch window or display bezel where the joint has to be sealed, survive impact, resist sweat and sunscreen, and still come apart on a repair bench.

A window is the largest visible part of a handheld device and the part most likely to be dropped, washed, sweated on and opened again for repair. A bond line under glass is thin, invisible and permanently on show, so a defect is not a cosmetic note but a returned unit. The construction has to carry adhesion, sealing, impact protection and serviceability at the same time, and it has far less margin than anywhere else in the device.
The window, the housing and the display stack decide the achievable bond width. We review the bezel width, the step height and whether the tape has to bridge a gap or seat into a rebate.
Dust and moisture enter at the weakest point of a perimeter rather than at its average, so the corners, the apertures and the compression are reviewed before a width and a thickness are proposed.
In a drop a tape does two jobs: it holds and it absorbs. Compliant foam and silicone constructions are considered where the shock has to be taken by the bond line instead of by the glass.
A bonded window becomes a repair problem the day it is made. We compare release behaviour, residue and the heat or force needed to open the unit, and select a construction your service process can live with.
| Device area | Typical construction | Product family |
|---|---|---|
| Cover lens to housing | Acrylic transfer tape or thin PET double-sided tape | Double-sided tape |
| Bezel frame and decorative ring | PET double-sided tape, black construction | Double-sided tape |
| Sensor and camera windows | Foam or silicone tape with a compliant bond line | Foam tape |
| Wearable and curved glass | Die-cut tape gasket to the outline | Die-cut parts |
| Light blocking around the display | Black PET or light-blocking tape | Functional tape |
Constructions are starting points. The final choice depends on the substrate, process, test standard and volume.

Display, battery, FPC and shielding tapes for consumer electronics and EMS assembly.

Exterior trim, low-VOC interior, masking and label tapes for automotive manufacturing.

PET, non-woven, transfer and tissue tapes for electronics, automotive and appliance assembly.

Acrylic foam, PE foam and VHB-style tapes for exterior trim, panels, glazing and appliance bonding.

Conductive, polyimide, aluminum foil and thermal tapes for grounding, shielding, insulation and high-temperature protection.

Custom adhesive parts from drawing to ready-to-install: flat-bed, rotary, laser cutting and kitting.
A photo, the substrate and the test you need are enough for a first review.
